For Bumble’s multi-city OOH campaign, Alex Hodor-Lee brought his signature blend of journalistic curiosity and portrait intimacy to the world of modern dating. His imagery — raw, human, and unmistakably real — cut through the noise of traditional advertising to reflect what connection actually looks like today.
Across New York City, his work appeared everywhere from full subway car takeovers to street-level billboards, creating a visual love letter to single life in the city. Each frame feels lifted from a lived moment — imperfect, magnetic, and honest.
The campaign extended beyond New York to Toronto, D.C., Chicago, and Dallas, spotlighting over two dozen real singles and their hyper-local dating wisdom. By weaving together portraits and voice, the campaign built a peer-to-peer dialogue — a community-driven reflection of how people meet, flirt, and find each other in the cities they call home.
