To create a short form, unbranded content series around the trending topic of nail art.
SEE ME developed and produced It’s a Nail Thing, an eight-episode, short form documentary series chronicling stories of self-expression through nail art. With limited filming time—just three hours—for each episode, we thought outside the box combining video footage with photography, Polaroid film, illustration, vlogging, and personal archival photos.
When faced with constraints, we innovate. We achieved a herculean feat, shooting 16 talent in 4 days at 8 different locations. While our mixed media approach solved our production challenge, the decision gave the work a tactile and refreshing feel, all of which is reflective of the culture surrounding the subject matter.
